1882 Hall has been a favourite of ours for a while. The food is delicious, staff are friendly, and they are reasonably priced. We went to our first Christmas lunch and it did not disappoint. Highly recommended
Beautiful food and service, love that they don’t force a set menu like many places in Canberra now do. We had the focaccia with truffle butter, slow cooked lamb gnocchi, scallops and pork, all amazing!
Huge fan of Davis’ work (the proprietor) from previous restaurants. He has not disappointed! Coconut Chicken was fantastic and of course the sticky date pudding was outstanding! Strongly recommended!
Really lovely experience dining at 1882 Hall for the first time. The food was unique and delicious however, it would've been nice to have more than just 1 vegetarian main to choose from from the set menu. The vegetarian gnocchi was really flavoursome though, and didn't feel like an afterthought. Also loved seeing all the local wines on the menu Will definitely be back!
Had dinner on Sat 27th and the food and service was exceptional! The pork belly was delicious and the sticky date pudding was divine!
First time I'd been to 1882 and left impressed with the food, atmosphere and service. Prices were reasonable for this type of establishment. They do tasting menus, al a carte, pizzas & sharing plates. They also have special dinners with local wineries and matching wines. The normal menu also has matching wine suggestions for each dish. I had the barramundi which was a generous size and very tasty and cooked to perfection. The duck fat chats are also recommended.
